Poor Dan is trying not to cry. Michael really was one of the best ever! I am sorry that I never got a chance to meet him. Michael Turner is one of the reasons I started drawing. I am now a college art/animation student and he is one of the reasons. I hope to some day draw as well as Mr. Turner. God bless him! I know what it is like to lose someone to cancer. My father died last year due to stomach cancer. It sucks to lose a loved one! We just have to remember why we love them so much!

I was there in WW Chicago 2008 Entering the show and my buddy Keith Dallas told me that morning.
I remember a few creators like Johns leaving the show to fly back to Cali.

I was supposed to go to that wizard world in Chicago and i so wanted to see Michael. I had went to the 2006 event in chicago and the line was so long that i didnt get a chance to talk to him. Im glad i was at home when i found out...i think i would of broke down. he is hands down my favorite artist of my time and his work is nothing short of astonishing. He will be missed.

Michael Turner was my Favorite Artist and I will miss him and his work a lot. Dan Didio however is a dumb ass and DC needs someone else in charge. The is a reason why Marvel outsells DC 3 to 1 and has for nearly a decade straight. Marvel is Run by Quesada who take gambles and makes all the right decisions while DC is run by Didio who should not even be allowed to Run a Flea Market booth. Didio is the reason a LOT of TOP writers,Artists and colorist have left DC in a mass exodus in the last year.

I couldn't believe the news when I heard it that you had passed away. The comic book world well miss you and you're amazing and fantastic art work. For me you and your work inspire me in many ways and keeps me doing me art work. I well defiantly miss you and your art. Thank you for everything you gave to us, you are one of the great artist of all time in my eyes.

I only taped the begining because I knew he was going to address his passing. I didn't bring a tripod and holding it steady that long would have been tough.
