surely, agree - I also like Jack Irons freeway straight play, and Cameron cacophonic, rushy, garage drummin´, but I missed that clean, clear, tight, powerful, groovy...... perfect drummin´of Vs. by Dave Abbruzzese

I know. I think the fact, that they fired Dave was a turning point in their creative career. Now, after a long period of time I can easily say, that this the biggest mistake in their career. Don't take it wrong way - I really like Jack Irons, but all that eventually brought them to uniting with Matt Cameron, which - to me pearsonally - is a disaster. Too bad they didn't switch him back for Irons after the 1998 tour. CHEERS TO ALL PEARL JAM FANS - KEEP ON ROCKIN'!

@slapmastered That's not the day he was fired, that was the date of his last show. He was fired some time in the summer of 1994 during the recording of Vitalogy.

Pearl Jam is a good band,

but even if this is their best cover of the song it dont even hold a flame to Neil on his worst night.

Wierd part is, if the date on this show is right, this might have been Dave's last show with them...he was fired from the band on April 17th, 1994, according to his Wikipedia page, anyway.
