also this review is like everything i ever wanted from a star wars review. it reflected my frustrations perfectly and was much much more interesting and coherent than the fucking phantom menace

Honestly I haven't seen the Phantom Menace in awhile, and this review brought up a lot of the questions I had while watching it. This was really well done, very funny, I found it hard containing my laughter at times. And many of your points were spot on

@EnkiduV3 I don't think any of them should be remade. Fine the way they are, imo. I'd love to see people come in and create completely new stories within the universe, though! :D

@PwnZoneification I don't know about accuracy. Have you read the 108 page response to these reviews? I don't completely agree with the author, but he breaks down all the misinformation and heavy bias in this review pretty nicely. Also, check out the Lard Biscuit essay on why they think Phantom Menace is awesome. A lot of well made points that actually pull from the movie and present things as they are, instead of rinsed of all things that don't fit the agenda.

@chosentonessournotes You're simply wrong. You haven't been following my posts, have you? Stoklasa, yes, I've called him out for being an idiot, because he's acting like one, but anyone else I only respond to (not insult) if I see them saying something that totally boggles my mind/I want clarification on or when they start insulting me or others first for daring to like and defend these films (like what we're going through here).

@PwnZoneification That's my question, really. Why can't people be objective? Why can't they judge the movie for what it is and not with the expectation that it be as action-packed and simple and on a roughly equivalent standing SFX-wise (for some reason) as an original trilogy film? Why outright ignore story and character elements to suit their fancies? Why create problems where there are none? Why condemn a "flaw" here and ignore them in the originals? Etc.

@chosentonessournotes lol No. I've ignored a bunch of stupid stuff. Sometimes one gets me and I can't help myself, though. >_<

Think I'm delusional all you want. Just know that I'm laughing at the notion that you can't follow a character's arc and basically admit to just wanting simpler stories and more action. Don't act like you're so much more highbrow, heartbreakingly intelligent, and knowledgeable about film than those of us who like the movies with demands like yours.

@chosentonessournotes I assume you're blindly (maybe not you personally; I don't even remember what we've discussed with each other, to be honest >_>) following RLM's opinions because they flatout lie and ignore things and they're made out to be totally accurate. It's mad and reeks of shallowness, from their part and from their fans'.

I'm not ramming my opinions down anyone's throat. I came in pointing out the bad, dishonest reviewing and related BS. People attacked me.
