  • Fucking awesome job man. Double bass sounded good and the rolls on the hands were killer!

  • @Zer0MT thanks man.. i'll be posting more shit very soon.. :)

  • @carcassgrindcorpsesc Awesome. Keep me posted, I'd love to hear.

You have loads of videos uploaded and I couldn't comment on them all...but damn man, your double bass is pretty impressive. Did you have to work a long time to get it to where it is?

  • @Zer0MT i do notice more mistakes now with triggers on my double bass, that thing george mentioned on your video happens to me too (raising the leg to start a fast run, causing the beater to touch the head = extra hit you dont fucking want), i'm working on that, you can hear that here too (not gonna say when though, some might not notice its a mistake xD ).. i have been playing double pedal around 6 years or so..man time flies

  • @Zer0MT a little advice i could give you (if you think i have what it takes to give advice) is to work on heel up for 15 minutes the least (what george said) but BEFORE that at least do 3-4 minutes on heel down (your max speed non stop of course), that prepares the body better (at least for me) and also work on playing with one foot at a time doing 8 notes.. close to your max speed, for as long as you can (now, i wouldnt say do this one EVERY DAY, but i would for the others)

  • @carcassgrindcorpsesc Of course! You might not believe it but I still consider you way ahead of me dude. So obviously I'll listen to your advice and take it seriously.

These days I'm usually doing 8th notes with each foot separately, but nowhere near my max speed. It's more of a warm-up thing to get my legs and ankles working. I'm gonna try some heel down in my warm up though and see if I get any benefit from that - thanks!

  • @carcassgrindcorpsesc Same here, I get that stupid little pre-tap when I go into auto pilot and don't concentrate on my feet before starting a pattern. I can avoid it happening if I concentrate so i think it's less of a pedal tension thing and more to do with lazy technique for me.

But I didn't notice any pre-tapping on this video so let's just pretend it never happened =D
