Squadron Leader Stan Kemp served with 10 Squadron and 57 squadron among others. Anybody knew him?
He died in 1973, part of a team test flying a Vickers Viscount in Scotland when they hit a mountain quarter of an hour after take off. RIP

My grandfather flew these... Squadron Leader Stanley Kemp. Don't recall which squadron. Obviously I'm biased, but the Victor is my favourite V-Bomber.

@michaelfergusonuk .. thanks for update. I might add I was stationed at a UK base with the Valients on station and my memories are from comments made by the squadron members. Real nice to record all these comments and keep the memories going

@piperpilot I Do remember Reading that One Reason for the Retirement of the British Trident Airliner was Mostly Due to Noise Levels (Quite A Absurd Accusation given She Was in Attual Fact Quiter than a Lot of the Ugly U.S. Tubs around at the Time)
Plus the Trident was the Showcase of Much of the Technology used in Airliner's To This Day.
I Hope that the Victor (Like AVRO Vulcan XH558) Does Fly Again One Day Soon.

@michaelfergusonuk Whoop's, I Missed out "The Record" from part of that Last Sentance, My Bad.

@capney There was Nothing Wrong with the Design of the "Vicker's Valiant"
She was Just Not Suitable for Low Level Flight (Unlike the Vulcan & This
MK-2 Victor Which came after Her) & Was Sadly Scrapped even though
the Aircraft were more than Capable of Performing in Other Roles quite
Amicably. (In Flight Refueling/Training etc)
Plus She Was the Bomber that Still Hold's for the Largest & Most
Powerfull Conventional Atom Bomb (Non Hydrogen) Ever Constructed
(A Record Britain Still Hold's)

Great post of a great Plane!!

@biggayal1992 ...It was also an all electric aircraft and a nightmare for the electricians to work on.
If I remember correctly the electrical actuators for the flying surfaces had no fewer than three electric motors. The main. standby and emergency. All in one unit.!

Sorry about the bad spelling in the last post. I am still not used to this new keyboard...
Just a quick word to all who have viewed my video and commented.
Thanks for the trouble and please keep em coming.
