  • @Direwolf56 Northern Edge is a training exercise. Besides we lost hundreds of planes in Nam due to operational failures alone. In a prolonged conflict our air superiority will mean less the longer the fight lasts. F-22's are great planes but they aren't war winners.

  • @B1gO mmmm...the way an f-35 dogfights is very unconventional, it wont get into a turning fight with anything more maneuverable, it will simple fire a missle to enter a turning fight, in this sense the f-35 is the best known fighter. also the f-35 can completely determine how dogfights are fought. because of its amazing speed it would force any opposing aircraft to HAVE to do head on dogfighting, with the f-35's amazing weapon system it has the edge in head on dogfights.

  • @tyrisleslie 5th generation aircraft have been tested in air to air combat, if that's what you're saying. The F-22 came back from Northern Edge with a kill ratio of 144 to nothing. I don't know about the F-35 however, and I don't think there would be a need to make 10,000 gen 5 fighters a year when the other superpowers are only just getting their gen 5 prototypes into testing.

  • 150 tons of fighter jet ...

  • @Direwolf56 We were producing 10000 warplanes a year at the end of WW2. Do you think we could keep that pace up with 5th generation fighters? Fighters that haven't even been tested against comparable fighters in actual combat, and we only have the assurances of the private companies building them. One reason the Vietnamese did as well as they did in the skies is because their planes and pilots were easily replacable. 5th generation planes only make a good show against poor countries.

  • hmmmm satisfying

  • I don't think its Iranian...they don't speak English and i heard "shit...is it gone"

  • @Direwolf56 Multiple hjets too :) The Raptor can shoot down over 6 at the same time.

  • @ruchittenme Iran is a large and very diverse country with deserts in the centre and south as well as very fertile land in the north, north east and north west. There is a fair amount of agriculture around Tehran (which is where the Il-76 crashed), producing grapes, wheat, fabulous water melon and cherries. In winter you can also go skiing in the mountains about 1 hour north of Tehran. So tell me again what you believe to be fake about the location and video?

  • Looks fake as hell and gotta love all that fertile farmland in the Iran. **rolls eyes**
