My late mom was in a care home for the last two years of her life due to a brain aneurysm that left her paralyzed and without feeling on one side. One day I came to visit her to find a nasty cut and bruise on one of her non-feeling legs. I was really pissed and reported it but nothing happened. There were some abusive nurses in her home and I would have gladly beaten the one who did it to her.

The horiffic stories in this report are our future if we don't do something to clean up nursing homes and hold them accountable.

Relatives often sort of pan off their responsibility to the wolves and then they complain how bad the wolves are but are they not to blame for expecting strangers to take care of their parents well when they in the first place refuse to do it;

The lady is a bitch for she passed the bucket of taking care of her elder and then she complains that others do not do such a good job of it. YOU WANT GOOD CARE YOU DO IT YOU IDIOT, BUT YOU CAN'T CAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE A HEART OR BLOOD IN YOUR FRICKEN VEINS, JUST THROW MONEY AT THE PROBLEM THAT WILL DO IT HUH ! IDIOT. In my culture the norm is for family to care for elderly parents, usually it goes to the son or daughter with the most stable home ie, if they don't have young kids and they have a home with amble room. The rest of the siblings help pay for expenses like a live in care worker.

I never understood why people only have 1 child, I am the youngest of 4 and that will certainly help when my parents are in need.

pahahahahahaha. The mother was being punished for being so disrespectful to her caregiver!!! She should have been more respectful to her poor caregiver. So therefore she deserved the bruises for the way she was acting!!!

The ones that require the most care are the ones that are most likely to be abused.

We do not believe in the nursement of homes. I have kept my dying grandfather around the house for the past 5 years. He smells like a yalks behind and tends to defecate everywhere. So in order to cope, weall just defecate everywhere in order to habituate the smell. Americans need to realize Hezmillah Aryal , that is the practice of keeping loved ones close, even if that means soiling your Brkha daily.
