Absolute knowledge is impossible in any honest worldview, due to things like Godel's Incompleteness theorem, Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, etc. We all make the basal assumptions that 1) the universe is real, 2) we can learn something about it with our mind's capacity to create models, and 3) models with predictive capability are better than ones without. All our knowledge is based on these assumptions - ones that even Hovind and Sye make, but are too intellectually dishonest to admit.

Sure. Sye says "atheists can't know anything", and reasons he gives for this are equally applicable to him. The fact that we (everyone, including Sye) can't know "anything" for certain, is a point against, not in favor or, his position of "absolutely certain God exists".
Sye says we use our reasoning to say our reasoning is valid. But SO DOES HE. He reasoning is that God tells him so. But that itself is a REASON. So he falls victim to his trap. We all have to reason to 'validate our reasoning'

Presuppositionalism really is juvenile. "It's true because I said so."

Sye and Eric would know nothing if no bible existed...........this debate is one of biblical literalism fail by biblical scholars who know the language and pretense of the problem of translation and misinterpretation from the original Hebrew in the OT and Greek in the NT...............Bart Ehrman and/or Dr. Jones would have a field day on the credibility of a bible.......their only revelation........

I love how Sye makes a distinction between a circular argument and a VICIOUSLY circular argument. In essence, his circle is better than an atheist's, just because he says so.

Aron Ra's statement at 6:18 was one of the most powerful rebuttles of Eric and Sye's nonsense.

The presups argue like my Down syndrome relative. It is because it is and there is no other possible reality. You can try to persuade, give examples, provide evidence or employ any number of ways to educate him, but he will still forthrightly and very sincerely, even sweetly say No, you are wrong, I am right, because that is how it is. After a while you just pat his shoulder, and say "Okay, honey." and move on.
