@nonplayerzealot4 Gerald Green would've been a nice pick...if he had come out of college after his junior year instead of high school, lol. Still has a world of talent and is very much in his prime. Hopefully some NBA team out there will take a chance on him soon now that he's making his rounds in the D-League.

@drgnmaster11 what? dude..bynum is good.

@kbdemonbain Paul Pierce wasn't in this NBA Draft. He was selected in the 1998 draft. The announcers simply said the Lakers need a player of a Paul Pierce type. or maybe they were saying since Paul Pierce was selected # 10 in the 1998 draft, the lakers could come up with a player of that colliber in the 10th pick as well.

He was a steal. Go Lakers why would any player want to stay in college instead of making millions.

Damn 17 and a 7 footer! I'm a high school senior this year, I'm 5' 10" and hope I'll just be 6 foot.
-

Dayum! Lakers could have gotten Danny Granger or Joe Johnson. Imagine ... But, Lakers made the right move and got Bynum :D

@drgnmaster11 I'm not impressed w/ either Granger or JJ, but I remember on Laker sites a lot of fans hoping they would draft Gerald Green. Dayum at that! There were rumors that Mitch was going to take Sean May. Double dayum at that! I remember a few typical bitter sports writers who said he could've had May or Fran Vazquez, who screwed Orlando over by not signing w/ them. Triple dayum.
