  • Thanks! You can use regular black electricians tape. That's what I use for most of my reels.

    It does happen. Often. Especially with braid on multipliers. Its happened to myself when I've had a big pike on and not been able to reel in properly.

  • Do NOT use tape on your reel! When it gets wet it will turn into a goopy, sliding mess. Use a couple wraps of mono first, and connect the braid and mono using an albright knot.

  • Is the tape sticky side up?

  • the whole "line spinning and slipping" is such a joke, once the line is wrapped around itself, it tightens up and doesnt move
