Yaron Klein reads Mahmoud Darwish's "I am from there" in English, Arabic, and Hebrew at Harvard University, September 18, 2008. The event, a celebration of Darwish's life and work forty days after his death, was co-sponsored by the GSAS Alliance for Justice in the Middle East, the Harvard Center for Middle Eastern Studies, and Justice for Palestine at Harvard Law School.
@kamalchassan1 I have been listening to Darwish again--my father was an Orthodox Jew until 1945 when he witnessed the massacre at Setif and then in 1948 we heard --or they did I was very little about Deir Yassin me my mother and my father were "exiled" by the rest of our family.
I am scared now about anti-Arab racism in the US former President Jimmy Carter has been pretty good and spoken against and for Palestine but no one listens to him.
