Wonderful song and performance. I have a list of songs that I listen to often since my mom passed away last year after a long battle with cancer. I'll be adding this one for sure. My mom was a fantastic person and also my best friend. I wrote a song for her and others who have lost a loved one, a piano ballad called 'My Friend'. If you have a moment have a listen on my channel.

The first time I heard this song was almost 10 years ago shortly after a very dear friend had lost her battle with cancer. I recorded it and gave a copy to her husband as I felt it was so beautiful and it was if it was meant as a message to him from her. Absolutely beautiful. Josh Groban is an amazing singer.

Rest in peace Malcolm Glasgow, even though you are my grandfather, you were a father and best friend to me, and so much more.
@mouwed1 -I'm sorry to hear of your loss. What a coincidence. Before my wife of 29 yrs passed due to cancer, she requested that I play this song at her funeral. Her birthday was on 12/02/1959. She passed on 08/25/2007. She loved life. She did not want to go and leave me behind. They say everything happens for a reason. I can't wait for the day that I'm given the explanation as to why she was taken so early.

We played this song during my daughter Caitlin's funeral. I noticed the date that he performed this song, December 2, 2008. That was the five year anniversary of Caitlin's passing. Everytime I hear it I think of my little angel and I know that she is watching me from above.
