clik 4 lyrics !!

Empty spaces - what are we living for?
Abandoned places - I guess we know the score...
On and on!
Does anybody know what we are looking for?

Another hero - another mindless crime.
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime.
Hold the line!
Does anybody want to take it anymore?

The Show must go on!
The Show must go on!
Inside my heart is breaking,
My make-up may be flaking,
But my smile, still, stays on!

Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance.
Another heartache - another failed romance.
On and on!
Does anybody know what we are living for?

I guess I'm learning
I must be warmer now..
I'll soon be turning round the corner now.
Outside the dawn is breaking,
But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free!

The Show must go on!
The Show must go on! Yeah!
Ooh! Inside my heart is breaking!
My make-up may be flaking!
But my smile, still, stays on!
Yeah! oh oh oh

My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies,
Fairy tales of yesterday, will grow but never die,
I can fly, my friends!

The Show must go on! Yeah!
The Show must go on!
I'll face it with a grin!
I'm never giving in!
On with the show!

I'll top the bill!
I'll overkill!
I have to find the will to carry on!
On with the,
On with the show!

The Show must go on.

  • wow pianofan.

micheal jackson. really? he was good. and i like his music. but as far as singers go. he doesnt even come close to phathoming the talent of Freddie. or even elton john for that matter. Micheal Jackson really wasnt that good of a singer, he was just lucky and could sing very high. he was a much better dancer than a singer

  • Mercury did the best, because he knew that it was the last song. No one who sings the song now sings it as if it is the last song in his life. The song is great

  • this is my second favorite cover of this song. the first is Moulin Rouge's version

  • @Nartyclor

Only the tribute concert in April 1992, and this one show in France w/Elton in 1997.

  • Freddie was literally months away from dying when he recorded this song. Brian didn't think he'd be able to do it physically. But of course he did, and so brilliantly too. Elton, Paul Rodgers, and even Celine Dion do great renditions of this haunting song, but no one will ever sing it like FM. He brought a sentiment to it that can never be topped. It is only a shame he never had the chance to sing it live.

  • @Nartyclor He appeared with them twice (live) after Freddie died - once at Freddie's tribute concert in 1992 and once here in Paris in 1997. He also appeared and played with Brian and Roger in the video for "No One But You - Only The Good Die Young" which was basically the band's personal tribute to Freddie. That was made in October of 1997, and that's the last time Deacon ever played with them.

  • @siriusminx If you paste this into youtube search: Sir Elton John speaks about Freddie Mercury...

you"ll get even more insight behind Eltons passion behind this song.

  • @Nartyclor He played at the tribute concert and this one-off, but that's it.

  • The thing is, Elton isn't trying to be like Freddie, he's just singing his song, and respecting him by not trying to sing like him, not only as a great singer, but a great friend.

  • Deacon? I thought he never played with Queen after Freddie's death....
