@masterYodathejedi - whatever microsubgenre you call it, it completely misses the point. Peter Greenaway edited his films to fit the music. Taking away the music puills the rug out from under the film.

@sophiewilder That's not indie-rock. But I agree the music of this film is excellent
-
The choice of music is completely terrible. The style of the film has nothing in common. Idiot.

After watching "Prime Suspect 3" in 1994 [in which Hellen Mirren gives the best performance ever by an actress],it was just by chance I came across this film(cookthieflover) in a video store and I just couldnt believe it was the same actress:very conservative wearing layers of clothing in PS to participating in graphic sex scenes that would be considered OTT for *the lovers guide series*. I absolutely love HM and love that she got old gracefully without any surgery and with such confidence.

Why did you replace the film's excellent music with this generic indie-rock crap?

I LOVE THIS VIDEO, I LOVE THE MUSIC, I LOVE HELEN <3
-
where the fuck is Michale Nymans original score to this amazing Greenaway film????
-
I would have prefered to just hear the dialogue.

You edited it very well, but the music was horrible. I muted it and played a more fitting song and it somehow synced perfectly with the way you put it all together, so props on that...but yeah please find better music next time. I don't mean to insult. As I said, It was very well edited.

God, I am SO glad my keyboard has a mute button! I still feel after watching this again after 19 years that the final scene would have been far more effective if they'd not made it obvious "Who's Coming For Dinner", but left it to the viewer's imagination. I remember seeing Age Of Consent in about 1970 & wondering who the girl was. Mirren was such a doll, kind of like Jenny Agutter in Walkabout
