@cineteq I agree with everything you say except for the DQ'ing Cav.
Action should have been taken against Renshaw, as it was, but not to that extent. Dean got off without a peep, not fair. Also, when they interviewed Dean right off the line and he had no problem with the jostle to the line!
I just think that the officiating in the tour has just gone awry. I mean I'm young, but I grew up with cycling and things are just not right anymore.

@jramd003 It's simple, relagating and fining Renshaw is not enough punishment to what he did, and kick him out of the tour is too harsh. After Cav went through, Renshaw blocked Farrar in a very dengerous way, not allowing Farrar to contest the sprint. So a more fair punishment to the whole situation would have been to DQ Cavendish. This for sure will deter more sprinters to play these dengerous games. And by the way, Dean should have been at least relagated and fined.

DON'T DO ANYTHING ON THE SPRINT !!!
INSTEAD WAIT TILL YOU GET OFF YOUR BIKE HAVE MECHANIC HANDY TO PASS YOU A WHEEL THEN WALK UPTO THE OTHER RIDER WHACK THEM OVER THE HEAD WITH THE WHEEL AND THEN PUNCH THEM.
you then carmly walk over to the nearest tour official and hand them 300 dollars get your reciept and then go and relax ready for the next days stage.
GREAT MESSAGE FROM TOUR OFFICIALS MUST HAVE THAT BRITISH W.C. REF WORKING FOR THEM

Renshaw complains about Dean, and justifies the headbutting, so I guess it would have been okay for Farrar to kick him in the face, right? However, Renshaw shoud not have been kicked out of the Tour, instead the stage should have been taken away from Cavendish.
