@Magdaliese Indeed they do! The "special" accent is Geordie as the whole thing is set in North East England, and it'd be impossible for it to be placed anywhere else!
From what I've seen the other countries' Billys are doing a marvellous job - and it's a tough accent to learn!

@DaltonLaine he is in a west end show therefore they wouldnt cast an american? dont be silly. he's english just not a geordie is all.

@hubactress i heard they have to sing in a special accent and that they train especially to sing that accent.. ;)
