The Skeptics Guide to the Universe is a weekly Science podcast talkshow discussing the latest news and topics from the world of the paranormal, fringe science, and controversial claims from a scientific point of view.
This show examines the axiom Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence
Great video. Explaining that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence is something that should be mandatory is schools, and skepticism should have a bigger part in the science curriculum.
I will now laugh at people when they use the word skeptic in the wrong form. I will then proceed with holding back my answer as to why I am laughing at them.
it all depends on the individual. the experience or lack of experience, of the individual in any given phenomena. eg. A person who has experienced 40 years of materialization via a medium does not require extraordinary evidence. A person with no knowledge of any such phenomena would.
