The Tree-Killing Neighbor

July 2009 Customer Success Story Contest: Video Submission.

"My wife had been telling me the past four years that our neighbor was coming onto our property and killing the shrubs and trees. I thought this was absurd. We have a nice neighborhood. Well, after four of our newly planted trees mysteriously shriveled up and died, I decided to purchase the Logitech WiLife Video Security System.

Within 24 hours of setting it up, our cameras captured our neighbor coming in to our yard. In this video, though you can't see the action, our neighbor is trying to dismantle the security lights so the cameras cannot watch her. On this particular night, she trespasses three different times. The first time to unscrew the light bulb. In the second video, she returns with red gloves on her hands so she must have gotten burned. My wife and I caught her trespassing the third time because we were watching it Live on our Command Center while it was happening. My wife and I quickly ran outside and confronted her. In the third video, you can see her run off the property and then turn and face us. In the fourth video, you can see the police car pull up in her driveway.

Six months after we took these videos, we had our court date against her. The judge issued a restraining order against her. Ever since then, she has been relatively quiet. Of course, I still have the Logitech camera in place just in case."
