This is Part I of II of a live interview with Nobuo Uematsu, legendary Final Fantasy composer, and Arnie Roth, conductor of the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra conducted prior to the Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy concert on March 1, 2008. This interview was conducted by Tim Maxwell (owner of SquareSound.com), and Michael "Piano Squall" Gluck (www.michaelgluck.com). Please see our other videos for the second half of this interview.

  • Nobuo Uematsu taught me that there is a communication beyond words, a communication of such starkly pure emotion that it could make literally feel another person's imagination washing over you. He is my greatest inspiration in music and in life.

  • @TheChainsOFMisery to true man, i have "one winged angel", "force your way" and "liberi fatali" on my ipod and after 10 years (i bought ff8 when we still had the schilling as currency) i still love them.
