I don't know what's stranger, this comment or the fact that three people gave it a thumbs up.
Seems to be the "in" thing these days to pick some great guitarist and then call him "overrated." I don't get it.
"Overrated" must be the most overused word in the English language today. lol.

Hendrix is not overated. Yes, he might not have the hardest songs, but he pushed his equipment as far as it would go. Not to mention he could do it all with ease and managed to sing.

But still, he IS overrated.
He has sooo much hype that people that don't even listen to his music say he is the greatest.

For that statement, you have got to be on the acid he was on when he INVENTED this style of rock guitar playing in the 60s. Page, Frehley, Van Halen, etc would have had no songs if not for "The Truth" That's what skin heads used to call Hendrix.

OH MY GOD. IF ONLY GUITAR WERE THIS EASY. I can play this song on guitar as well as Aint Talkin Bout Love and its silly how much easier guitar hero is. no offense but its kindve a dumb game. i used to like it but now i think its dumb.

It's not a matter of fact anyway...this is all opinion. However....I'm a HUGE Metallica fan, but you have to be high on crack to suggest Hammet is in the same league as EVH.
BTW - EVH is the greatest guitarist ever.
