High Point State Park

A drive through our most favorite camping area! Its too much work for us now, but we have many fond memories of time spent here with our good friends and family!

I've been to almost all the State Parks in the Skylands area of NJ and nothing compares to High Point. Camping by Sawmill Lake then swimming over at Lake Marcia then up to the monument for those incredible views.

@greeneyedsteamengine we went camping there every May and October for many years and I thought my son who now lives in AZ would appreciate going down the old camping road with my video. We used to let them take the canoe out about age 12 under threat of NEVER again if they fooled around and tipped it over. The Blue Dot trail off the back of the campsites was always a favorite.

It's just so beautiful the video and the music go sooooooo well together, so peaceful, it's just like I remember it, I will definitely have to tell Lee to look.. Is this the same spot where we had our picnic in the rain that one time??? I'll never forget that day, we were so young in love Lee and I, and I can remember liking that his family would go out into nature like you did!! Awesome, thank you for sharing! Great job on your video editing!

I'm glad you got to see it Lori, it didn't come over to Facebook very well. There was no picture and I wanted Lee to see it, but he said something about YT and his work computer. If you could get him to check it out I'd be happy. However, I can't get Bob to watch it either. Yes, that is the spot where we had our picnic (in the rain as I remember), I wanted to be sure to add it 'cause I knew you would remember. High Point is one of our favorite places in New Jersey.

This is one of the better places to camp in New Jersey Kim. So many of the places you feel like your neighbor's tent is going to roll into your car. This is one of the best places if you want to feel remote!

We love this place, we went camping each spring and fall every year from when the kids were about 9 'til they were maybe 17! Sooo many memories here for us!
