Respond to this video... By the way - I have never even read 1984 although I should really find time to do so. Looks like it was already there I guess. Art predicting reality or reality influencing art? Scary. Fascinating... but scary.

@tenseman08 Yes - exactly. I used to think these conspiracy theorists were nuts but it is WE who have had our eyes closed. We're being controlled on a global scale more and more due to the use of fear. Playing on fears of humans the world over for something that is not really anything more than the media feeding us bullshit. And who controls the media? The same top global corporations that control everything including the world banks.Governments don't even control our money.World bank does.

Ofcourse you put such an argument as this towards the majority they'll tell you been reading 1984 too much..well as much as it is a cliche reference point..it's not just a story...because unfortunately people through fear are prepared to surrender their freedom

Governments are not in control of their indiivdual respective countries. There is a higher power at work - one who controls even governments. They want us to be scared of a threat that doesn't really exist. If we are scared they can control us further. ie "Ooh look at the threat, look at the bad boy terrorists, they are coming to get us, to blow us up - therefore hand over all your freedoms to US and we will protect you". Bullshit. The CIA created Al Qaida for this very purpose. It's working.

Can the government not protect freedoms without taking away others?

You make a good argument and I respect your opinion.
In today's world however, there are extremists/terrorists who threaten our right to live peacefully and do nothing but insight fear into communities.
I would rather the authorities have the power and means to detain suspected criminals in order to combat this very real threat, than risk getting blown up.
If we start crippling those that serve and protect, where does that leave us?
So whilst i respect your opinion I don't agree.

@Scarfaced111 Yeah innit. How can you judge how clever someone is from the way they talk?
Well said. I once challenged my MP about imprisoning people without a trail and he glibly said that if I oppose him, I'm a supporter terrorism.
I also said that "if I don't trust the home secretary, who can I trust" with these type of people in the government we have to be concerned.

The government have taken power to a new level and there is nothing that anyone can do without being accused of being a supporter in terrorism.
People who are innocent are having there lives destroyed because the they are BELIEVED to be suspects, even if there is no proof they're treated as guilty and when released there still treated as a suspect. Laws need to be changed otherwise the issue will become bigger as the hatred of this country is becoming stronger.
