And just like that, Jenny was gone. Out of my life again.

This song is from ecclesiastes of the bible. That is what it was inspired from. The current western view of life is a linear view, which means, not expecting to grow old, not expecting changes, not expecting instability of which is a brainwashed philosophy of life perpetuated by modern day marketing and mind control. The real view of life is a cyclical process. A view the ancient Hebrews knew and many other cultures as well. This however is not considered true in this day, a deception.

Every year there is a Shiite Muslim gathering in Kabul commemorating the death of Imam Husayn (Muhammad's grandson). Islamic Shiites mourn his death by whipping themselves to acknowledge the suffering he endured. The men slashed themselves with knives and cut their sons.. It is bloody - but you can google -> shiites cutting -> and check the images if still confused.

1:48 Can anyone tell me what happening in this picture? Why is a man holding a bloody boy withe a giant knife to his head? What was this piece of history, I don't remember it.

GREED... we had the right ideas back then but we let it slip away. I was naive to believe after Vietnam we would be smart enough to not allow ourselves to be pulled into another meaningless, tragic war. Your right, the lessons of the 60's have been forgotten and history will repeat itself over and over again.

My only question now is..............what happened? The world is being hijacked again by the same narrow minds that imprisoned us before only this time the stakes are much higher and the game is so much more dangerous. I fear the lessons of the 60s have been forgotten.

I was just a kid in the 60's but my older brother turned me on to the progressive rock of those times and there was no looking back. I don't think people realize now days how the music and the youth movement of those times created a paradigm shift in how we think here in the US and Europe. We went from the conformity of the 50's and early 60's where we blindly followed the cultural expected way to live, to think and view the world around us to the late 60's and 70's where we freed our minds
