Daphnia magna, presently 5th instars, hatched from resting eggs. Younger stages are progeny. Daphnias are grazing on planktonic organisms in nearly natural settings. Growth of microalgae is supported by wide spectrum lamp.

  • It takes up to 3 weeks for them to wake up from dormant stage, during this time you'll get some algae build-up for them to eat. After that, they reproduce like crazy and mortality is low. Where you ordered them? I wanted to start new culture..
