Yes, folks can send you images. However, the android app does not display MMS images. It only renders a written text that you've received an MMS message. The image is displayed in the accompanying Gmail notification as an attachment.

Soon they'll figure out a way to introduce advertisements to you before you can take a shower or use the loo. Then all privacy will be lost!! I still don't know how my telephone contacts landed in my email account when I NEVER added a phone number to my account. Good readin' from u!

It does seem like an invasion of privacy just so they can show us their ads. Conversely, we use their services for free and if WE had a business to advertise, we'd desire our ads to get the best placement. It's a tricky subject. // How DID G get your Contacts' numbers? #sneaky

Google constantly finds new ways to invade your privacy. ..and then market it to you with all the "benefits" they can come up with. I STILL DO NOT KNOW HOW GOOGLE GOT ALL MY TELEPHONE CONTACTS. I Never ever added my phone number to any of my google accounts. They also scan even your very personal emails and target ads to you based on what they find.
