I live in Northwest Georgia and I am ashamed to say that many people are still proud of the confederacy. There are still many confederate flags hanging off of porches and racism is alive and well. I have argued against my peers from a progressive stand point, but they are to blinded by their prejudice to see reason. I have only turned 18 this year, and I will certainly be voting and campaining for Poythress come election time.
