I don't think it "sucks".
I've gotten used to ( "reprogrammed" if you will ) lots of different motor sounds through my years at motorsport(s).
Including extremely high-tuned two-stroke racing bikes, extremely high-revving mc four-strokes, Turbo-charged car motors,
and obviously open exhaust V-8 drag racing machines.
I'm honestly fed up with the noice.
I once got a thrill out of it, as I knew it "represented" power.
Now I just want the Power !
( without the toxic fumes and the noice )

@TheSolarmike what about the non-linear voltage drop during discharge? Although, I suppose for the drag strip that wouldn't matter much. ^_^

I would like to use maxwell boostcaps (ultra-capacitors) instead of the a123 cells because they can discharge at 17500 watts per kg . if you grouped 175 lbs of boostcaps together it could dump 1.4 million watts of power which is 4.6 times more energy then the killacycle (at 300 000 watts)
