It depends on the type of roof. If it’s a regular pitched roof with a straight attic and no void spaces should be easy unless that area is converted into a living space then knee walls are added which usually have storage behind them that adds void spaces that are hard to access and fire hides in. Mansard roofs are some of the more difficult ones to deal with.
The saw doesnt "WALK AWAY" on him. If you look he slips on the edge of the doghouse roof . All we use, and most departments at that, are K-12 saws. I have never heard of them not to be used on a pitched roof.
