Fifties Cheesecake Dance No. 29

PLEASE READ THIS - This clip consists of two segments from "Princess of the Nile" (1954), the story of Shalimar, an Egyptian princess who poses as Taura the dancing girl in order to rid her county of it's Bedouin invaders.

This pretty lame affair with lots of hokey dialogue was directed by Harmon Jones. The other performers were Jeffrey Hunter as Prince Haidi; Michael Rennie as Rama Khan ; Dona Drake as Mirva; and Michael Ansara as Captain Kral.

Here's the answer to your question, from Wikipedia:

The term "cheesecake" is synonymous with pin-up photo. The earliest documented print usage of this sense of cheesecake is in 1934, predating pin-up, although anecdotes say the phrase was in spoken slang some 20 years earlier, originally in the phrase (said of a pretty woman) "better than cheesecake." In the 1950s, for example, there was a magazine called "Cheesecake" that had a young Marilyn Monroe in a yellow bikini on its cover in 1953.
