I can hear the additional power these IDIs have with the turbo on them. The exhaust just has a more powerful sound, more of a popping .. which would make sense being that the turbo get's more air in and more fuel can be burnt .. basically I guess that's the sound of bigger explosions on each power stroke. open exhaust of course helps. sounds great!

i do agree....mostly, i like the 6.9 the 7.3 and the 7.3 PSD....the 6.0 is such a hunk of junk....the 6.4 is better but needs more top end power.... my dad has a 2000 7.3PSD modded to the walls...its wicked loud and wicked nice....you gotta nice 6.9 too i learned to dive on an 86 F350 wrecker with the 6.9....great ole trucks!!

dude, u were going fast, man, and up a hill! That was pretty damn awesome for a 6.9 IDI. I love them AND the 7.3 IDI's better than the Power Strokes.

I did not mean to offend you about the Power Strokes. I saw the vid of your new 2008 with the 6.4-liter Power Stroke with the dual turbos. Sounds awesome. Is that your new truck?
