the point is.. venom made black metal .. if some other band comes and calls itself black metal.. then it shud sound like venom probably.. but not the other way round..

if other bands want to call themselves.. no offence.. people should accept venom as black metal first.. the other bands can call themselves something else then.. may be dark metal or something..

@bloodlustuponme I'd call Bathory the pioneers of the genre, Venom always had a more Punk/Speed Metal sound imo.

Then again, I never listened to much after their 3rd album.

Venom is BLACK METAL .. they made it .. ! just because some new bands came does not change that ...! tomorrow people may even say that Judas priest and iron maiden is not heavy metal because some new bands start to call themselves heavy metal.. ! but u cannot change history.. venom is black metal..!
