@aitch1 The Taliban harbored and protected Al Queda. I know how the Taliban came about. Contrary to popular belief it was formed in opposition to India. They are Shiites. Al Queda was formed by Sunnis (Wahhabi to be precise). The Taliban tolerated the Sunnis who went to Afghanistan to fight the Russians. The US trained those fighters (one of which was bin Laden).

@markus24913 9/11 was Al Queda NOT Taliban. Tho the Taliban hosted Osama there is NO EVIDENCE that they knew what Osama was up to. Western media has produced the notion that Taliban and Al Queda are the same. Regarding 9/11, ask yourself 'Why did 9/11 occur? Find out why the Taliban came to be will you, you'll be quite surprised.
