Jennifer Robinson moves up from 8th place after the short program to finish 7th overall at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. While her best Worlds result (8th) lags behind many other former Canadian champions, this Olympic result actually tops the Olympic results of Nightingale (9th) Kemkaran (15th), Thomson (12th), Preston (8th) and Chouinard (9th).

  • She has such an elegant style, but she skates so slowly...

  • To finish seventh in a night when Slutskaya, Butyrskaya, Kwan, Cohen, Hughes and Suguri were skating is incredible (and a little heart-breaking - it was probably the deepest women's field ever).

  • someone should post her 2004 world championships long program with a teary eyed coach at the end.

  • I'm meeting her on March break! She's coming to my arena for a seminar. I'm so excited!!!

  • Butyrskaya skated with more speed and her technic is much better. She was so shaky here but no one can compare Maria with Jennifer

  • She had problems with combo jumps because they are extremely difficult to do!

  • Why did she have problems w/combo jumps.

  • Wow...I have watched the women's long programs over and over and I see this as the artistic program of the evening...equal to if not better than Kwan. Shame she skated early and couldn't feasibly get more points.

  • Very artistic performance. She deserved to be 6th here over a crappy Butyrskaya.
