For the 2008 post prom at Concordia Academy Roseville, teachers dressed up as the "Green Man Group" to rock out. Lighting, fog, and pyro were all done with no practice or concrete plan by 3 seniors: Luke Ratei, Nathan Kohn, and Daniel Rehbein (and teacher Dave Boll doing pyro). Lots of things I would do differently (haze instead of the thick fog, more lights than the measly 10 in use, dedicated spotlight operators, programmed light cues, and someone on camera). But even in its current form, I think it was highly entertaining.
Pastor Berner on triangle (left), Dean Dunavan on lighted timpani (center), Gary Fritz on Bass Drum (right). Matt Stefan on lead guitar (back left), Scott Stebbing on drums (back center), and Dale Bjorkman on bass (back right).
I rented the intelligent lights, a board to control them, focused and gelled the fresnels, built the lighted timpani apparatus, designed the slides for the skit, ran all light changes by hand (except the 1 intelligent light that is constantly strobing), ran the spotlight, and ran the camera. Nathan Kohn helped with light focus and ran the 1 intelligent light that is constantly strobing. Daniel Rehbein controlled the fog from the stage.
my bad with the fog... .... lol
