  • useful vid, cheers. out of interest, why do you change to trad grip halfway through? cos i always play matched but are there any advantages to trad?

  • @angrychipmunk99 In my opinion, there are advantages to traditional grip. When playing jazz like big band music, it feels more comfortable and you can get around the kit faster. For drummers in drum corps - marching with a snare at your waist. Search on "why Buddy Rich uses traditional grip" in youtube. He does a demo on why he thinks its better. I say play however you feel comfortable. I personally like to use both. It may sound silly but I think traditional looks cooler...

  • Great job.

  • @MAPLESHELL74 thanks!

  • Great! Please, what number does this solo have on the book?

  • @sebastiamer It is from the Wiolcoxon book - Modern Rudimental Swing Solos for the Advanced Drummer
