the International Poetry Festival at the Royal Albert Hall in 1965, where people like Allen Ginsburg attended. He was also involved with the London Free School,which saw Pink Floyd play some fund raising concerts at the All Saints Church Hall which led to them doing the International Times Magazine launch, the magazine Miles and Hopkins started. Hopkins then went on to establish the famous UFO club as an extension on from the early Pibnk Floyd gigs.

Barry Miles started off managing a book department in a large store on the Charing Cross Road in the 60's. He was friends with Peter Asher and John Dunbar and through them got to know and become good friends with Paul McCartney. With Asher and Dunbar, Miles set up the Indica Gallery and Bookshop which was a major event in London counter-culture scene. Miles is also credited, along with John Hopkins, with being a catalyst for the counter-culture movement in london when he organised...
