My Best Friend Clifford (RIP)

It was my 18th birthday. My dog and i shared the same birthday, he ws born in the same month, but we didnt know which day, so we celebrated our birthday together. He spent his life at my side, I spent 9 years at his. i couldn't ask for a better friend from the creator, than him.
I came home from work, ready to celebrate, only to find he was sick. He wasn't walking much, wasn't eating or acting himself. He just waited infront of my room for me to come home and look after him. As soon as I saw him, he begged me to make the pain go away. his belly was hard...I called the vet and told her the symptoms, before abandoning our birthday party so spend the night at the vet. He was diagnosed with Spleen Cancer. the tumor was the size of a cantalope. Stricken with grief, i cried in the vets office, unable to speak, or even move.
On February the 1st, two days after our birthday, I had to let him go. The vet said he would have 2 to 6 months with surgery and chimo therapy...It was too much pain to put him through for such little time. He died peacefully on my lap, with my mother petting him. he left this world wrapped in his favoriute kirkland blanket and with his favorite squeeky toy at his side.
He now sits atop the mantel at my house, cremated with his blanket. His favorite treat and toys around him. some nights, if i call him, i can hear him bark...some nights, i even see him. i will never have another dog like him, he was truly one of a kind...
RIP my dear friend. May you pass on to the next world with a smile on your face, a wagging tail and a treat in your mouth. i love you, i always will boy.

strange how dogs were created before man ever was.they are genetically change by man to serve us and love us,then some are put to sleep or abandoned.swapping two bad human souls for every one dog soul after we depart would be cool.the bad souls could rump in the never ending meadows over yonder and eat steak all day until they one day become loyal as DOGS..

I share your pain. My dog was put down on sat after the vet diagnosed malignant and inoperable spleen cancer. I work in spain so my parents made the decision and I never got to say goodbye.

tears tears! Im so sorry, I recently lost my dog Aubrey, she was old and she was like one of my best friends, she was always cute and sweet and when I was little she would sleep in my bed with me. And now she is in heaven with Clifford. I am so sorry. I don't know what else to say. This is an amazing video, Im sure Clifford would love it! It's beautiful. Im so sorry, R.I.P. Aubrey and Clifford.
