Enter MISSIONSPECCAMO.COM: the Official DuraCoater of The Nutnfancy Project. Your knives, guns, flashlights, and other gear can be more awesome if they're the right color. Often though, custom colorations in these items will add extreme costs if they come that way from the manufacturer (like custom shop Springfield 1911s). DuraCoat has been my answer to this problem for years and a professionally-applied DC finish that will exponentially increase the 2nd type of cool, resale value, and pride of ownership of your item. Once in hand, you will understand the attraction. And with DuraCoat it really doesn't matter what color/finish your gun currently has because you can change it...with a permanent, hard-wearing finish that looks insanely cool. Buy whatever color gun or knife you want, then change it. Proven after many testing expeditions in TNP, DuraCoat is the go-to solution on much of TNP gear. It unlocks amazing camo capabilities and breaks up the obvious black outline of knives and guns and other gear that at times you may want to keep hidden (like in-theater combat operations). Other benefits have emerged as well: DuraCoat provides greater rust resistance, makes the gun resist sun heat better(in light colors), and when applied correctly it lasts the life of the item. It terms of camouflage effectiveness, item coverage, handsome looks, and longevity, it dominates the field expedient method of painting an item (which sucks; I use it on exactly zero of my guns).

But an excellent DC job requires thorough surface preparation (nightmarish on small parts and optics), an air compressor and spray gun capability, a dust free spraying environment, good ventilation for safety, even spray delivery and lay down, and most importantly, TIME. Many TNPrs don't have any of the above and yet crave the coolness of DuraCoat application on their gear...I know because they've been asking me for it for years. Always seeking to serve my subscribership, I turned to TNP Crew Member and stickler for quality, "SadlyMissing" for the solution to this ongoing need. What emerged to meet this need was MISSIONSPECCAMO.COM, a business developed for the TNP viewing audience to have access to professional, high quality, high VALUE DuraCoat finishing. I provided the vision, quality/value direction and he provided the hard work and money to make Missionspec come to life. It is the result of MUCH work between us both.

First we laid a foundation of training and certificaton to improve our current DuraCoating processes: SadlyMissing attended and graduated Lauer Weaponry's "DuraCoat University" and gained certifiication in the advanced application, surface preparation, and durability techniques that represent the state of the art. This training and permeates the entire operation. Surface preparation is outstanding including bead blasting for most surfaces, parkerizing of ferrous metals prior to coating, and thermal setting of finishes (low temperature baking). Moreover specific DuraCoat finishes are applied when necessary to maximize durability and appearance (like DuraFlex and DuraHeat applications). Value is outstanding for all finishing services at MISSIONSPECCAMO.COM and TNPrs will also benefit from a occasionally coupon codes for even more savings (USE COUPON CODE "nutnfancy" for 10% off listed prices now!). More value is added in FREE return shipping. Unloaded firearms, receivers, frames, and all other gear should be sent directly to Missonspec at their listed address; NO FFL is required for this shipment. Heavily greased (cosmolined) or rusted guns will incur additional preparation charges. Amazingly effective and cool camouflage patterns (shown in environment) are available and worth the extra costs (made necessary by the extensive labor involved in getting it done RIGHT).
////////////////////////// We have many years in DuraCoat experience and have been happy with the product. We are learning about CeraKote and may expand into that arena. I have noted similar wear characteristics however between the two (reference my Kel-Tec "Have No Fear" vid series and the CeraKoted PMR-30)///////////////////////Nutnfancy Likablity Scale: 10 out of 10 /////////////////////////////// Music: Licensed from talented TNPr "El Dudio" wwwyoutube.com/user/eldudio

  • good stuff...nice clean designs :-)

  • @1975acidburn I believe that is the K-var AK side rail scope mount, available at k-var (dot) com

  • @ORSAR84 you won't be disappointed man. I sent my Tenacious to them to get coated in all matte black and it turned out awesome! Check out my vid of the DC job (its a vid response to this video)! Sadly was great in answering my questions and did superb quality work on the coating!

  • 14:50 you showed the multicam ak47 where did you get the rail that you had the scope mounted on???

  • @nutnfancy does this discount work still in 2012??

  • Thanks for the information, nf. I was tempted to try duracoating some gear myself after seeing your PT1911 vids, but this video actually talked me out of it. I am way too OCD to live with a half-assed job I did myself.

  • @Pyro7502 multicam
