This explains why my head smacked into the bottom of the pool and blacked me out for a second.... guess I was never properly taught what to do with my hands. Thanks for the video!

My turns have been bothering me lately, when I flip, I can see my hands come out of the water instead of them being at my sides. Will that slow me down? I wouldn't think so, my turns are the same when I keep them in the water, but for some reason without even thinking about it, my hands come out of the water before I go into streamline. Should I tuck them in? My coach hasn't yelled at me for doing that yet, :/ Hmm...

i dont get water in my nose but i get water in my left ear lol
This is a good video if you're trying to learn how to do the flip turn but if you're wondering how to get it faster or you're already on a competitive team this video isn't good.

@irishdance1218 That's why it's step 3 in learning how to do a flip turn. There are other vids if you want to get fast. Go to our website and search for "flips". Vids there.

but the water goes into my nose... how to solve it?

@Billy3032572 - Nose plugs or humming. Close your mouth and hum during the flip... you need to force air to come OUT of your nose during the flip so water can't go in. If you have a hard time with that, use nose plugs. It's much better than struggling with trying to fix it.
