I've never understood loyalty to a University, especially if the person doesn't actually go there. Granted, I couldn't be considered a fan of football, and I guess that explains it, but someone please explain why you're a fan of a certain college...I'm curious as to what the motivating factors are...especially if you're not going to that college.

@ErizotDread I grew up in the town, went to the games, both my parents graduated from there, loved sports, and there is so much community involvement that goes along with it. If you're not from the town or have no connection with the university then i understand your point that it's weird that people have loyalty to a certain team. But growing up in Ann Arbor, you're born a michigan fan.

Obnoxious OSU fans take the game too seriously because their university is the only team in the state worth watching, and Michigan fans are bitter and whiney with a sense of entitlement. OSU players sell their awards for money, Michigan players have no awards and those that do are probably recruited from Ohio. (For those of you not familiar with this rivalry, that's pretty much what it's been reduced too as of late.)
