Religious fanatics and anti-religious fanatics are the two most annoying, unbearable and hard-to-deal with people in this world, I swear -_-

Leave out the God bit and just comment on how adorable this is. Keep your opinions to yourself and you'd get others to do the same.

And don't forget the monkey diapers! I imagine changing those things must be a real treat! There are so many things that really only look good in the movies.

In the 90's I worked with a woman whose niece is a trainer at the African Lion Safari, about 60 miles west of Toronto. The poor girl was terribly put-upon; Somebody HAD to take the lion & tiger cubs home overnight & weekends to get them acclimated to people, and she drew one of the short straws. I still include her in my prayers ;)

My husband was watching something on Planet Animal recently. He's a real Nature Boy and we pay for National Geographic channels in languages we don't even speak :)

A family had raised an orphaned fawn about 5 years earlier. Like you, they trained her to go back to the wild. But each year she shows up to visit, bringing her latest progeny with her. She will go up to the family for pets and treats, although none of her kids ever do.

    Cheers, Keiko

Haha I will keep that in mind if I ever come across some orphan baby raccoons... In the Phillippines, a long time ago, my dad had a baby monkey as a pet. He told me it wasn't as awesome as it sounded. He jumped on the tables and ate all the food...

I know exactly how you feel, but keep resisting the temptation. In the 70's a friend's brother brought home a couple of baby racoons after their mom was hit by a car. Those little guys get strong fast, bite hard, and have nails like razors. It was an adorable (albeit painful and scarring) summer.

Although my husband's uncle once found an orphaned skunk in his back yard. The vet removed the scent sac and it was just like living with Pepe LePew.

That is awesome! BTW, it could go back in the wild just fine. I have bottle feed several dozen baby squirrels and they all do fine outdoors. They only come back for a couple weeks but it is neat to say their name and watch the reaction. Most is head up with hands crossed. Some come to you but you have to chase them off so to train them so they can live their lives normal, hard as that may be.

Although all these cute little videos touch my heart, they are bringing me to start to consider the fact of stealing baby animals from their nests and raising them... X3
