  • Not sure, it was the battery that came with the unit

  • For in stream use of the Gold Magic Wheel go to the the manufactures video at Hunting for Gold, Silver,or Gems with Gold Magic. Thanks Tom

  • There is a lot of private and BLM land around New Hogan and much of it is claimed up. The Public access that is in my video is between Valley Springs and San Andreas, and panning and sluicing is permitted with hand tools only and is open to the public. Panning around the lake would be unproductive unless you found small streams that fed the reservoir and make sure the property was not private or claimed. I recommend you join the GPAA for $67.00 a year and use there 1000+ claims for free. Tom

  • All Gold recovery equipment, including high bankers, sluices, and wheels of all kind will recover between 90% & 95% if operated properly. Due to the simplicity of the Gold Magic Wheel it will consistently recover between 95% & 98% off classified material, and can be set directly in a stream and fed material up to 2 inches and recover fines, flakes, pickers and nuggets with out classifying. I have a new video on the way demonstrating the direct to stream recovery process. Thanks Tom

  • I did try the detergent in the field and wetting the soil still worked the best. I think the detergent was ineffective due to the heavy concentration of soil in the water.Tom

  • Good Idea, I us detergent all the time in my Blue Bowl and I will try it with the Gold Magic and Dry soil to see if it helps. Thanks for the tip.

  • is that a replacement battery my battery is a ps-1250 f1 sonic power

  • is gold panning allowed all around New Hogan? Or just in certain areas? Which tributaries are best?

  • looks like you'll loose a lot of gold with that method... I seen the desert fox and the keene wheel. They seem to work better and faster... I don't know if its true or not but I am just giving an opinion

  • a little detergent in the water stops the soil from floating
