The 2002 US Senate race in Louisiana was a heated battle between Democrat incumbent Mary Landrieu, who narrowly won election in 1996, and Republican Elections Commissioner Suzanne Haik Terrell, both of New Orleans. This was a rather well-watched race, as the runoff occurred after the November election day, and well-known national politicians from both parties came to support their candidates. In this ad, the GOP criticizes Landrieu for breaking her word about stopping negative ads and then goes through Landrieu's record of voting against tax cuts.
