  • Hi Jerry

I found myself re-using some sphagnum moss. From transplants etc.

At what age do you toss the s/m as waste ?

    Everything has a life-span.

  • Hi, Eventually, the s. moss begins to rot and change color. It takes a while for this, but eventusally you develop a sense of how things should look. I use old s. moss as long as it's not too funky. I will see if I have some iold stuff and make a video showing the difference. Thanks for the great question. Jerry

  • hey Jerry missed watching Adventures in bonsai the last few days your one of my favorites to watch

  • Hi, I think I put on about 8 or 9 videos in the last week (not all bonsai), I try to keep the material coming. Thanks for writing.

  • Great Job Jerry!

    Keep it up.

    Your Bonsai looks nices.

  • that succulent is doing swimmingly! i think a few of your "fans" have commented on the unlikelihood of those plants liking the alkaline nature of sphagnum for a medium. i can personally say that after transplanting several plants that they LOVE the s/m! again im a big fan of your series and im glad to see that your mimosa has come back! i was worried when the yellowing started to occur...!!
