why are we on;y given the choice of reconstituted meat products and potato sticks with no nutritional value....

Oh those are over here too. But, this is kind of a deli version of fast food. It's not uncommon to find take-out precooked food in Guam either (at least it wasn't in the mid-'70s). My guess is most areas have some version of precooked delicacies (healthy or otherwise) that can be bought and taken out. It's just the local version has caught the imagination of many people... :)
