@HO1ySh33t but it's hardly like freaking mma is about street fighting now, is it? You'd never want to try the BJJ guard when you're in a real fight. That's suicide, especially if your attacker has buddies who are ready to shank you when you're on the floor. 9/10 times I guarantee in a real street situation most mma practitioners would run away. UFC is just another way to make fighting into another 'tough guy' sport. Although it comes off more like WWE than say, Boxing, which is much classier.
@HO1ySh33t I was talking about UFC, not mma as a whole. Believe it or not, I'm not actually dense enough to believe that every mma practitioner is a flaming retard. As you've put it though, you get many more braggers in the ranks of UFC faggotry than you do Aikido practitioners. Learning martial arts as a discipline does require courtesy and respect, especially if you have a training partner who is kind enough to let you use his/her body for practice or sparring.
@Overfiend002 Martial arts are never about grace, courtesy, nor respect. That's what politics are about. You don't even fight to learn them. A martial artist is defined by his fighting capabilities, not his ability to sweet talk, or worse, brag. At least mma provides a mean to tell braggers and fighters apart. Now, how can you know if someone proclaims that he's a 2-dan aikidoka and would totally kick your ass in a street fight?
@leptiric51 In a real fight, the "3 attackers" would all attack at once, not - very conveniently - one after the other. I know of no aikido technique that would nullify 3 attackers at once. You'd be better to go with strikes or kicks rather than some wrist or arm lock.
@siasti Your an idiot. They're not going to do break there arms, they are going to flip, and stay safe. If you met one of these kids on the street, try them then. Tough Guy.
This video is evidence that aikido does NOT work against multiple opponents. These students, who have presumably been training for years, completely fail against only three people.

Still, diplomacy > any martial arts.

Well nothing is 100% accurate if someone comes up to you with a gun shooting, and you don't see it yeah you could die lol.
