This was just brilliant: to promote the new Nintendo console, there was an interactive Super Mario in Toys R Us Times Square! He'd chat away to you, notice how well he knows Ireland!!

It's not a toy, it's Charles Martinet performing live through the internet, the animation is done via motion capture, so his mouth animates properly.

There's one of these in the Nintendo World Store, and it's just Charles Martinet performing live.

It's not a robot, it's not AI, it's not a chat-bot.

It's Mr. Martinet himself.

I actually already knew, but I wasn't REALLY POSITIVE.

Also do you know if this is being filmed at the Nintendo World Store? Because I was there (once) and that wasn't the backround Mario had. THAT backround looks like it's from "Toys 'R' Us". When "I" was there, Mario's backround looked different..! It's hard to describe, but...yeah! ...
