@jaycELT Just remembered the found pods were "devilclaw" not sicklepod!!

@helicopterdriver Better w/o music. Like natural sounds. In 1976 we got a'73 7700 from a combine jockey(hi hours)& it had some sicklepods inside it. My retired gramp told me to never let them get started here(scNE), so we burned them. I thought the combine came from South, but never did know. They never got started in our fields. Nice video, enjoyed.

@helicopterdriver technical name Sicklepod. Was the bane of my existance for years in corn. Atrazine and oil will kill it. Now we have roundup resistant Palmer Aramanth. That stuff makes coffeeweed seem like nothing.

@zilla200644567 Thank you! Wish I had added some music but didn't have time. I have a lot of footage and stills from this years potato planting that I need to assemble.

How Dry was the corn

@13fastfred I'm really not sure. The sensor in the Combine was disconnected or not working. He had been lacking rain for a few days at that point.

@thowle1 those weeds are called Coffee Weed. Has bean pods on it like a string bean. You can't kill it unless you set fire to it. It mocks Roundup. The field he was cutting is actually a dove field he grows just for the owners to shoot in. Leaves 4 rows standing out of 32 or so for blinds. Lots of big Deer and Doves around.
