@luismariasilva: Surely earning him a place in Ripley's 'Believe It or Not', it is absolutely true that ex-Gentle Giant vocalist Derek Shulman signed Bon Jovi, Kingdom Come, Dream Theater, Pantera, Slipknot, and Nickelback, among others, while working in A&R for Polygram, ATCO, and Roadrunner Records. Shulman's newest venture, established in 2010, is '2Plus Entertainment'. Look up Derek Shulman on Wikipedia to confirm.

Is that true?
-
@jonsilence However, he redeemed himself when he had a hand in signing Dream Theater :)

What I love most about this band is they weren't "technical" for the sake of being "technical". The songs are incredible.
I was lucky enough to meet Kerry and Derek in New York City a few years ago, what great guys they are. I felt like I met 2 gods.

Derek Shulman---be he praised or blamed, the man who discovered and signed BON JOVI!

@WhoShotJRBobDobbs - ok i see what you mean, one going up the other down in both songs, and the same 4 notes. maybe then? and yeah i also was into yes more than gg. both good but very different. i actually hear more slight 70s genesis similarities in gg than yes ones.
-
@WhoShotJRBobDobbs - ok, and that's my opinion as well. I dont know why you say that. it's a real stretch, like you are a diehard GG fan trying to prove to others their influence or greatness when they were an underground acquired taste at best. Yeah GG are great musicians, but to insinuate that any Yes takes from GG is desperate. I've also played tons of yes and 70s prog covers on all instruments, know music theory, play jazz as well + design music gear professionally, so im not a newbie either

@WhoShotJRBobDobbs - rabin + squire were/are so creative that they dont need to look for such obscure minor influence, as it's just a common guitar scale pattern. if you play guitar you;d know those 4 notes are right across from each other on the neck. 2 on 1 string and 2 on the next, as part of the pentatonic blues scale pattern EVERYONE plays in every style of music. all you do is lay your finger over to do the next 2 notes after the first 2...a very common easy basic beginner guitar pattern
@ paperpichu....just curious being I live near long beach, where in long beach was this? great quality thanks for posting.
