Marissa's POV
There were only three houses in the neighborhood. The left side of our house was covered in forest trees. The first house I went to was fill with an old retired couple. They gave me a pinch on the cheek and a cookie that was amazingly good. Old people can cook. I guess years and years of practice. the house on the farthest right house across the street was filled with a young couple in there twenties just like John and Leah. I had one more house to go and that was right across from our house. I knocked on the door and a boy with blonde hair who looked my age came in.
"Whoa, uhm hi." He said with a smile. This boy had a deep voice.
"Hi, uhm Im Marissa, I just moved here across the street and Im supposed to introduce myself." I gave him a smile.
"My name is Lucas. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand and i shook it.
"Same. How old are you?" I noticed he would let go of my hand.
"Uhm, Im fifteen. You?"
"Sixteen." I pulled my hand and way and relaxed it on my side.
"Cool," He laughed and then it became silent. Awkward.
"So....are these the only houses in the neighborhood?" I looked around.
"Uhm basically. But there is a house in the forest," Lucas said pointing to the woods. "But I wouldn't go there if I were you."
"Why not?" What was wrong if I went over to the house.
He shrugged. "They are just a strange family to me."
"Oh. Well i better go. See ya later Lucas."
He smiled. "Bye." I was walking away from the house looking at Lucas shuting the door. As soon as it was closed I ran into the forest following the path of the gravel road. I kept running for 100 yards but I started to walk because I noticed my heart beat was slowing down a little. I saw the house and a blue mustang in the driveway. I walked to the front door and knocked. Right away someone opened the door. It was like he was waiting for my arrival. The boy looked my age. He was paler than usual. He had brown short curly hair and golden eyes. He was beautiful. I couldn't stop staring at his eyes. I have never seen golden eyes before.
"Uhm. Hi." I could barely get those words out.
"Hello," He said with his soft quiet voice. I could've melted right there.
"Uhm. I'm Marissa, I just moved here so i wanted to introduce myself." I turned to look at the view he had of the forest it was beautiful. I could spend my whole life in the forest. I soft breeze hit my face and I heard a low growl. I turned to see the boy with his eyes closed hard and his hand covering his mouth and nose. I looked at him confused. He seem disgusted by me. Did I smell? I just took a shower. He opened his eyes sharp and his eyes werent golden but an evil black. He was just staring at me looking as if he was about to kill me. I took a deep breathe and opened my mouth to say something. But I was cut off when Nick went into the house shutting the door so hard, it made a loud thunder sound. It hurt my ears.
Nick's POV
Wow she was such a beautiful girl. I couldn't think anyone could get as beautiful as that. I though God gave me a gift of a beautiful vampire girl because she was so pale.
"Uhm. I Marissa, I just moved here so I wanted to introduce myself." Marissa was such a beautiful name. She turned to look a the view. Even the back of her head was beautiful. A breeze hit. She wasn't a vampire. She was human. Her smell almost made me go crazy. I just wanted to kill her just for her blood. But I couldn't. I didn't want to be hated as a monster. She looked at me confused. She was going to say something but I couldn't take the amazing smell anymore. I went into the house and slamed the door. Not the best idea because it made the sound of thunder. Joe came down within an instant.
"What was that?" Joe asked concerned.
"A storm is coming in that is all." I walked past him but he followed.
"I saw her coming you know. I saw the whole thing coming." Joe grinned to himself.
"You couldn't warn me?! I could of just killed her! I want her blood!"
"I know you better than that. You won't kill her."
"And you saw me not killing her right?"
Joe grinned. "That too."
"Well, school is on Monday so if I have to deal with her Monday, I'm going on a big hunt for two days. Okay?"
"Whatever." Joe sat down on the couch.
"Tell Mom and Dad that okay?"
"Yeah. Yeah."
I didn't hesitate. I was out of the house and on the hunt within a second. I have to do this so I don't kill that beautiful human Monday.
